No, not Oprah.......
Oprah has been duped and said this about writter James Frey. I don't know about anybody else but really Oprah this is not the first time you have been duped so stop acting like your life will end. Also stop acting like you let the American people down because hell you at least got them to read. So the guy made a few things up and sold them like it was his life, really does that make me a bad person. No, it just makes him someone who got caught because people do it everyday, for example the kids who wear a custom to badly sing on American Idol. They are selling themselves as that kid but in everyday life they are not that but just someone in plain clothes that can't sing. I really don't see what the big deal is except that the smoking gun really had noting else to report that day. A 10 pg thing on Frey is a little long. I know FBI background checks that don't into that much detail, which is scary and maybe why the smoking gun should take over those checks. So in the end this day will go down as the day Oprah was duped and we all had to hear about it and then the smoking gun has to do an expose on it.

Another one for the kids.........
By now we all know that the year 2006 belongs to a song by Nellie ft. Paul Wall called Grills. This song in turn has lead to America now paying attention to the diamond mouth pieces that rappers have been wearing for a few years now. Of course this will now lead to the common person running out and wearing a grill of their own, then another, another, etc and this is people how trends are started. I would have loved to say that I predited this trend but sadly I did not. But of course as a sally come lately I will offer advice about this trend. The drum roll, please (ddddddddddddddddddd) kids don't run out and but one. Yes, I said kids because if you are a grown adult wearing these things and are not a rapper then you just look stupid. These things are for the 16-19 year old who things that they have the skills to be a rapper and want to look the part. Kids don't run out and buys these because they are going to be banned in school for being to hip-hop, districting and causing violence becuase two idots will fight over whose grills are better. Let's be honest any fad that the kids come up with in some way get banned hence the slap bracelets of the 90's. And the slap bracelets of the 90's were so much cooler than these grills and were banned due to causing violence. As a kid your loosing out on 8 hrs of showing how cool you are with your grill because you can't wear it to school and if you can't show off your cool factor there then really what is the point. But the man reason I am telling the kids not to buy them is for your health because we are not sure what the health dangers are with putting real diamonds in your mouth and so I can only imagine what the dangers will be with putting cheap silver and cubic zionic in your mouth. Years from now there could be a whole generation wihtout gums because they wanted people to see thier grills. Now for all of you who are saying put I floss and I'm not going to put some fake stuff in my mouth, yeah right, and I wore a real swatch watch when those were in vouge. Your 16 so just stop it and save up your money for the next big trend that hopefully will be allowed in school and let you keep your gums.

It's been awhile.......
Since I have not be writting for awhile I thought I would do my year end review but thought that was so 2005. Then I thougth that I would cover the whole Lindsey Lohan admitting that she did drugs and was a bulimic but the cast of SNL called her out on it. I feel for 2006 the thing stars should be talking about in articles is how they are not on drugs and eat like the rest of us. But we all did learn an important thing from the article is that she has not done crack. I'm glad some one is taking Whitney Houston's advice becasue crack is wack. Talking about Whitney I happened to catch the Being Bobby Brown holiday show and let me tell you that everytime that I see the show he actually seems to be the more rational one, except when he cried over the spilling of the big vat of gravey. I have never seen so much gravey in my life. 4 people could have swam in the vat of gravey, if that was there thing. Once again that is so 2005. Then my thought that I would give you the bumble for 2006 but once again I felt like that was so 2005. Plus we already know what will be big in 2006 and that is Pat Robinson making stupid statements about political leaders because he already did it in 2005. Wierd how history repeats it's self. What is shocking about the statement this time is that Sheron is in the hospital and not in a positon to defend himself. Really if you are going to be so big and bold on tv and talk smack do it so the other person can hear you. If you are going to have beef do it as the rappers do and let us all hear about and have it end with a plea from others in your industry to stop it before someone gets shot. Which by the way listening to Pat is so 2005.......ummmm.........maybe this is a year in review list after all. Happy 2006-people.

In the Sprit......
I could not help but to laugh at the reliable source today in the post due to it's subject matter. We have a war going on, people hungry in this country, kids not able to read but people are mad at the Bush's holiday card because it does not say Merry Christmas instead it just says happy holiday. The Christian right is all up in harms and have thrown out their cards and are also boycotting stores that do not say Merry Christmas. When will these people stop having control of the country. I say let's boycott them because no where in the bible have I read that jesus says you have to say Merry Christmas. Unless it is in a part that I have not read and that is anything pass the first chapter because I am waiting for the movie. Not only that but I know how the book ends and so why should I be in a rush to read it. Let us not all forget that not everybody celebrates Christmas and why should they be put through having to hear it all of the time. Oh that's right there is nobody else in this country but the Christan right and jesus. Which by the way hate to inform them but Jesus has left the country and moved on.

(A message to Jesus-ummm, please do not take this personally but you too have to admit that this is pretty stupid. So if you choose to smit these people down I understand because that don't make you a bad person.)

It is just to Easy...........
Foxy Brown has lost her hearing according to an AP story and is going to undergo surgery to try and get it back. Her people would not state how she lost her hearing and in all honesty it is none of our business and I do not want to get into theories. Now here comes the easy part of the entry. Her lost of hearing expalins her last album because that stuff was just weak. I am never going to say that Foxy was ever the best female MC out there but at least there would be one dirty song on there to jam to and the last album had nothing. The last album made Lil' Kim's current album a pultizer prize winner, if the album was a book, and let's be honest the only reason it did so well was because she was going to jail. In this country we love to support star jail birds. Then next event that is helping me to make this event so easy to write is R. Kelly singing the National Anthem at a boxing fight last weekend. I don't know about everybody else but singing the Anthem to a hip hop beat and asking people in the middle of it to clap their hands just seemed disrespectfal. And not because of the hip hop beat but because it was just so freaking funny. What really took the cake was the fact that in the back he had people hand dancing. When I think the anthem I don't say there is a hit for the club and want to throw my hands up to it. I will say that R. Kelly did help me decide one thing and that is what I want for the holiday's. My holiday dream is for him to stay in the closet and be silent so we do not have to witness another event like that ever again.

A Policy that needs to be changed
I was riding the bus this morning and kids with student id's tried to bord to go to school and were told that they have to pay a fare in the morning but could ride from 2 to 7pm with their student ids and not have to pay. The bus driver told them that this was the systems policy. I then decided to write ride-on to make sure that he was not making this up and he was not. Below is the response that I received back from the system: (Please after that find my summed up version of what I wrote back)

Collecting a fare has always been a policy of Ride On. It is not something new. Since the temperature outside is very cold this morning, the operator should have let the students ride this morning but inform them of the policy so the students would have fare for any future trips on the Ride On bus. The supervisor will speak to the operator about this incident. The operator may not understood the Student Ride Free Policy and had allowed the students to ride free in the mornings and the supervisor reminded the operator about the 2-7pm only with student IDs are students able to ride free.

The Student Ride Free program is only weekday afternoons 2-7 pm. Montgomery County Public Schools have informed all schools that the students needing to use the Ride On bus before the stated time, should purchase the monthly Youth Cruiser pass that costs on $10. The operator was correct in asking the students to pay a fare. Judgment of putting them off the bus on the coldest morning was not the best. Hopefully the students will ask their parents to purchase a Youth Cruiser pass that has unlimited rides with no restrictions for the month.

Also, if you could be kind enough to identify the school, I will contact the principal to inform them to remind the students that fare is required in the mornings so this situation would not happen again. Also you mentioned that you were on route 72, this route no longer exists. If you could provide me the correct route number, I will find the name of the school to call the principal and ask that announcements be made about the Student Ride Free Program so there will be confusion and no child left out in the cold.

Basically I said that this is dumb and what is the difference between riding in the afternoon with an id and the morning. I have posted this is hopes of others maybe contacting ride on about this to see if they can change their policy because why are they not allowing kids to ride the bus safely in the morning to get to school. Then for them to say the kids can buy a pass is stupid because why should they pay for something that should be free for them. All the kids want to do is go to school. Also if anybody has any other suggestions of who I could contact to try to get this issued corrected that would be great. Please pass the word around even to those who do not use public transportation in this area to flood ride-on with request to stop this stupid pratice. I will just end with this the Pres wants us to leave no child behind so why would ride-on.

An Interesting Stand
While reading the Post today I ran across an article in the metro section about a pastor who has stopped doing wedding in his church because he feels that if people who are gay can't get married then why should anybody else. Now of course as a presbyteran pastor this has cause a lot of fuss in the reglion from the higher ups saying that he does not understand the concept of marriage. That concept being between a man and a women. This does not mean that he won't do commitment cermonies in the church but to make it legal a couple would have to go down to the courthouse or a justice of the peace. He also has a lot of support from the members of his church because let's be honest you don't have to be married in a church to be married. Actually to be married all you need is a basic level of love and respect for each other and someone that legally always you to do it. So maybe this preacher has the righ idea let whoever get married and keep religion out of it. I truely feel that if people kept religion out of it then anybody could get married because now people rule and create laws with religion in mind and not people. So I say to this preacher "Amen to that"

I Can Feel It Comming.........
We can now all stop holding our breaths and let oxygen back into our lungs because there might be a Genesis reunion. You know the group with Phil Collins from the 80's. Right now, I am doing the biggest exhale ever because the knowlege that this supergroup wants to get together is big, y'all. It is like when New Edition got together the first time with Bobby Brown. Not the second time without him because that was just lame. Hopefully Peter Gabriel will also be able to join them. Actually, I hope not because all of the songs that I remember had my man, Phil, singing lead vocals. While this is not a definite thing my fingers are crossed and all of the signs point to that this will happen. Think about it........there is a remake of Miami Vice which Phil sang the theme song to. People.........I feel it comming in the heat of night, oh no.

It's So Not Over......
As R. Kelly releases "Trapped in the Closet" this week on dvd, I can't help but wounder who would ever watch this extra long music video over and over again in their house. I know it is being called an urban opera but to me it is something that you could see on daytime tv for free. Now of course on tv it is minus the singing but that actually would be a plus. I also want to know what the extras will be on this dvd. An interview with R.Kelly explaining how he came up with trapped in the closet. Wait, I know, it is something that he most likely did himself-the hiding in the closet thing. Maybe there will be alternative endings for each chapter. Maybe in Chapter 1 he does not hide in the closet but just lays in bed as the husband comes in and screams "NOW, WHAT PUNK?" while holding his gun. Then that would have changed the whole concept to pointing a gun while doing your wife and that is just not as catchy. But the most exciting thing to come out about this whole trapped opera is that R. Kelly has announced that he actually had 22 chapters completed and it is still going. This could mean 19 years of this whole drama and that is longer than any story line on the soaps. I have a feeling that chapters 22 and on will have to be called taking viagra in the closet because there is no way that he could still be keeping up that type of action that even gives him a reason to be hiding in the closet. I don't know about anybody else but do you feel a box set comming out in the next couple of years. Everybody start saving your pennies now for "Trapped in the Closet" 10 disk set. Then of course in the next 50 years we all then will have to go out and buy the re-released disk set with extra features to share with the kids. I'm just glad that R.Kelly decided to come out of the closet because now this classic can sit with other classics like "How to kill a Mocking Bird" in my video library.

All about the Bling
Today in the Post's Style Section I read what might be the funniest thing ever and it is not even on the funny pages. They have a story about Michael Brown, aka Brownie, talking about what he should wear. These e-mails were released yesterday. This was going on during the time of one of the worst storms in America's history. He is e-mailing the deputy of public affairs and she replys back by telling him that he looks great. Actually, he didn't look that great and he over paid for the shirt that he has on. Saying that he brought something at Nordstroms that he could have gotten at Ross for less. Then later that week press secretary Sharon Worthy told him to roll up his sleeves so that he looked hard working. Which of course he did because it is all about appearances. Even though I am shocked that he did because rolling up his sleeves breaks down the fibers in shirts and I would hate to see him have to go and get another shirt from Nordstorms. Actually, Brownie's true down fall in the world fashion is that his advisors steered him wrong. They should have told him to wear some bling with the rolled up sleeves. Think about it the bling hitting the light of the tv cameras and the sleeves show that not only do I work but I get paid for doing it. I wish that he would have worn bling because then the people of New Orlanes could have snatched it off of him and got what they really needed. Ahhhhhhh, it would have been great seeing FEMA do it job.

In this case of trying times for this whitehouse I would find it advisable not to nominate anybody for the Supreme Court right now. I know that you think that this will be a way to get people's mind off of Scotter, number of dead in Iraq and Harriett Myers but to me it is just another battle that you are not ready to fight. This guy seems to be everything that Myers was not and that is ultra-conservative but in the end you wind up with the same issue and that is a house that is going to give you one hard fight. You also know that these hearings won't start next week and will just give the media more time to dig up things about this guy that you don't want us to know. Now, I'm not saying what you guys should do but maybe you should focus on more things at home that people can agree with. Isn't is about time for Laura Bush to go out and tell us the importance of reading to our kids. Then for the phot-op so those pics of Scotter leaving his office with boxes is not on our mind, she should be seen reading to some kids. That nice touch of bringing out Condi to the funeral for Ms. Parks was a nice touch, even though that is usually the job of the Vice President to go to funerals. Actually, on second thought you might want to keep him at home. It once again brings up the negative things about your house. Maybe the best thing for you guys to do to improve your image is to start cleaning up your house. First, I would start with Rove and then move on the rest of the clutter. The clutter that is too scared to say that this house has some issues and that is thinking everything we do is great. You might also want to throw out that Kool-Aid everybody has been taking a sip from.

Once again, I hate to give out advice especially to people that I don't like but sometimes when it comes to safety sombody has to say something.

Your Crew Sucks!!!
Well, Well, Well. Bush's homegirl, Miers, could not hang. She withdrew her name under the guise that she did not want to share documents because some of them dealt with the council that she gave Bush. Ummm.......that is part of the whole process girl. I guess she was not paying attention during that whole John Roberts thing. Why can't she just be honest and say I can't fight. I already know that the senate hates me on both sides and there are all ready commercials saying how bad I am. This is not to say that I wanted the lady to sit on the bench but girl, please, put some vasline on your face, take off your earring and start swinging. The other thing that usually when you have beef with somebody, like she does with the senate, esp republicans, your crew gets involved and fights with you. Ummmm.....but your crew also seemed to scared to start swinging. Yes, I know that the head of your click, Bush, said he was all disapointed and tried to stand by your side. But in the end he to was to scared fight to grease up his face because if he really wanted a fight then he would have let you release those papers. The only good thing that has come out of this is saying bye to someone who didn't have enough in her to fight because if she thought this was going to be hard, what did she think would happen in that room full of judges. Wow, all I have to say to Miers is your crew sucks.

Death Comes into the Frozen Food Aisle
The old saying that death comes in threes has been so true. It was Ms. Parks yesterday, Bob Denver and today the guy who does the Jolly Green Giant Voice. Not to say that all of these people are on the same par but today's death also hit me. It could be because just last night I say that master card commerical with all of the food product mascots having dinner together and jolly green was outside looking in but was still there. Now, without the voice saying "ho, ho,ho" will the Green Giant be out for good. Wait.......who will raise sprout or the smaller green man who walked besides the Giant. That small guy was like scrappy to scooby. Someone that you really did not care about but accepted. I don't know if I will ever be able to eat frozen greenbeans without thinking that "ho, ho, ho" is no more. In memory of the Giant have some type of green veggie tonight.

Oh Boy.....
I know that this entry will not me breaking news but Cam'ron the rapper has been shot. He was shot here in DC in an attempted car jacking. He was here for Howard's Homecomming weekend. Not that I ever want to tell somebody what to drive but please your over the top car was maybe not the best to be driving that late at night. Actually that is neither here or there since you should be able to drive whatever car you want w/out someone trying to steal it. While in it's self shootings are not funny the comments made after can be. When Cam( What the kids call him on the streets) was asked about the incident part of his direct quote was "it was a sloppy job because they did not get my car or my jeweleries". Yes, you read that right. He said the word jeweleries. Before you call me mean, come on it is funny. Just because you got shot that is no excuse for bad english. It is not like he got shot in an area of his body that affects using proper english. Yes, he could have been scared but this comment was not taken on the scene but after he received proper medical care. The sad part of the whole situtation (besides the shooting) is these wannabe rapper kids are now going to try to be like Cam and put the word jewleries in their raps. Somebody out there drop me a dope hip-hop beat because I'm about to free style...
Just like Cam they tried to get me because they were envious over the fame. Didn't understand that before I got paper there was a plan. People out there try to take my jewerlies but just like Cam I said no way. Please let the hip-hop beat start to fade out.

See how lame it is and now think about every wanna-be rapper out there that is now going to put the word jewelries into a rap or even worst the song Cam drops with that word. Now to quote a famous Cam song I have to say "Oh Boy" about using that word.

The New OJ Trail
Every once in awhile a new court case comes up that everybody seems to be focused on. Last year is was Michael Jackson and soon it will be R. Kelly. Then he will trapped in jail instead of trapped in the closet. I don't know about you guys but trapped in the closet jokes are still funny! The new OJ trail that we all do not know about is the Sadam trial. (Once again I bring the bumble first to you people. Gifts are not necessary because just knowing that I raise people's cool factor is good enough for me)Why is it the new OJ? First, there are camera's in the court room because by now everyone has seen his tired face. Second he has the air of I didn't do anything even though he did. While he is not screaming that he is looking for the killers he did get up in court and annouce that he is still the President. Much like OJ likes to get up and claim that he knew nothing about the crimes. Not only that but there will be a media frenzy as soon as this thing starts to pick up. Not only that but the judge has a little moxy in him and I bet that he will start getting his camera time soon. There are also high price laywers involved and one already starting to hit the talk show circuit or was that the old one that he fired. See.....just like OJ. Now all we have to wait for is the glove don't fit moment and then we are all set.

Ok, in this blog I try not really complain about my life because you don't want to hear it. But today I must rant. First, don't look at me and say you have been a busy beaver. Of course I have been a busy beaver because I have been doing your job. Second, don't drive me up the wall because you don't have your act together or think that I should know everybody's schedule. Third, read the e-mails that I send you. This is my sign to find what I really want to do with my life. Anybody have any suggestions?

Finally Something for the Kids......
Actually, this has nothing to do with the kids except I did see something on MSN homepage about kids not wearing diapers. I did not even know that this was a trend or even something to write about. I never read the article so I am not sure what it was talking about but by the title there were two babies with back turns and no diapers. It was almost like they were ashamed to be noticed because they would be mocked by the other babies. All the cool babies are wearing the new designer line of diapers made by huggies. The huggies one have a little bit of lycra in it to move with the baby and come is fashion colors. Let me just say this "If I ever hold any babies, I want that baby not only in a diaper but three of them because having pee on you is yucky." Well enough talk for the kids and on to something else. I want to thank congress for turning down a cost of living pay raise to help the people of LA. That was just so sweet of them. How is anybody suppose to live off of a million a year? The price of having to go back and forth on your many vacations is just way to much. I never understood why congress takes off for a month plus fedral holidays. Really, people let's just do what the rest of America does and wait for the federal holidays or just take your two weeks. I just answer phones and can't take a month off but the people who create and pass laws for this country get to take off more than myself. I also bet that they get paid vacation. So to the members of congress thank you for turning down your raise to help America. I just hope that you guys will be able to survive without that money because times are hard.

Technology now has a true purpose
Today in the paper I read a little blurb about a company that is developing breast implants that store music files. One breast will contain the MP3 player but does not include headphones to go with it. Which to me is a rip off because how can I listen to music without headphones unless it comes with a speaker system but I feel that would be too heavy to carry since the boobs alone weigh enough. Unless they are going to create some way for the nipple to act as a speaker but that alone is wierd since enough people stare at people's boobs I feel that listening to them takes it to a whole new and wrong level. It's one of those you can look but can't touch type of thing. Now don't think of this as a one breast system because come on there are two and we don't want them to go to waste. The other one will carry the chip that actually holds the music files. But the most exciting part is that the music would be accessed using a Bluetooth wireless device. Gee...perky boobs and on the cusp of new technology and all I wanted to do was go braless. But the greatest part of the article is the quote from a company analysist and on like another person, who will go nameless but it starts with an S, "If a women has something implanted permanently, it might as well do something useful" Of all of the useful things that I think a boob could do, playing music is not one of them.

I am just kidding.......
Bill Benett, former education sectary to Pres Regan and writter of the 1993 Book of Virtue, made the dumbest comment ever and then said he was speaking hypethically. His comment was we could lower crime rates by aborting all of the black babies and then said I'm speaking hypethically. Kinda like when you say to someone you look ugly but then say I'm just kidding. Not that I'm comparing those two statements because the first one is just........I can't even come up with the words. First, babies don't commit crime. I have never seen a story on the news that says a 18 month old walked into a bar and held it up. Plus I think if a baby was to hold up something it would be a store that sold milk or formula. Not that I am advocating babies of any race holding up stores. Second, he was saying that as black people grow up that they commit crime....wow.......that is such a blanket statement. As if only black people commit crime because I know that on tv I have seen various people of different races who have committed crimes. All you have to do is watch any eposide of the highly educational show Cops to see that. It just makes you wonder what type of vitures he has for someone who wrote about them.
